What happened in November
The November 11th meeting was held at The Georgia Farrow Recreation Center in Irving beginning at 7:15pm with 15 members in attendance. Posie and Miss Cookie entertained with a short skit “Night before Christmas” to kick off the holiday season. Posie gave the treasurers report. We have $8386.16 in the Convention account and $5420.53 in the main account.
Check out our new website www.dfwclownsrus.com. We have updated some photos, but Sterling needs more content. Please send photos and other information that you want to see on the site to Sterling. We also want to keep our outreach going to schools, communities, career days, to spread the joy of our alley and the art of Clowning. Fundraising ideas to look for can include book fairs, assisted living centers, community events. Thank you again to Susan and Tricia for securing our new meeting space and negotiating our trade for rent.
Moving on to new business included officer elections and awards. Then it was time for announcements. Susan reminded everyone of the volunteer opportunities for Children’s Medical Center events coming up on Dec 9th and 16th at Hackberry CC. WCA will be in Dallas on March 2-8, 2005. We want to represent our host city alley by putting on a skit as an alley for the WCA competition. We also volunteered to host the hospitality suite for one day of the convention. Ryan Weaver announced the parade opportunity in Denton on Dec 5th. The GLOW program at the end of the meeting was to share an idea or routine or item for the holiday season. Our members had several fun ideas. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15pm.

A Word from our Clown in Chief
As I reflect on 2024, it's clear that my personal life has been like juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle — challenging, yet undeniably entertaining. However, the important lesson is that we must keep moving forward, even if our red noses occasionally fall off. There were amazing memories created, and while some lessons were learned, others just landed in our laps like confetti.
This year, we embraced growth, creativity, and reach, trying a new setup for our meetings and finding a spacious new location to perform and connect with our community. We also revamped our website and boosted our presence on Facebook, turning our alley into a virtual circus of fun and engagement.
As the President, I've had an absolute blast, and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity the alley has given me to be part of this fantastic organization. My heartfelt thanks go to the leadership team for their unwavering support and willingness to assist me along the way. This year has been spectacular, but what's even more exciting is that we are stepping into a new year with even greater expectations and the promise of thrilling challenges and accomplishments.
